female food bloggers mara loves

I have always been conscious of what I put into my body. I like to know that what I am eating or drinking has clean ingredients and not filled with additives or sugars. When I cook for my family and friends, I want to know that I am providing tasty, healthy, nutritious foods, so I turn to food experts to help.

I have three female food bloggers I want to share with you that create clean, healthy meals focused on wellness and a love for food.

Mia SwinehartGathered Nutrition

Mia Swinehart is a registered dietitian who, after dealing with a hormonal health issue after college, found health and wellness through food. Swinehart saw food had a direct impact on her overall well-being, so she started creating her own recipes. She takes the comfort food she loves and makes them more healthy and accessible.

Two recipes to try are:

Dairy Free Queso and BBQ Chicken Nachos

Nachos are the perfect party food, and this recipe will be sure to delight any of your party guests! It’s both dairy and gluten free and a healthier alternative to traditional nachos. Serve it up with an Inspiro Tequila inspired cocktail, and you’re ready to celebrate National Tequila Day on July 24th!

Southwest Chicken + Sweet Potato Sheet Pan Meal with Dairy-Free Cilantro Lime Tahini Sauce

This is a great dish for an easy sheet pan weeknight meal that’s healthy, delicious, and simple. The cilantro lime sauce works great with just about any other dish – salad, tacos, quinoa bowl – and the citrus flavor of the sauce pairs beautifully with tequila.

Monique VolzAmbitious Kitchen

Monique Volz dealt with an eating disorder early in life but found healing through cooking. She found a path back to a healthy relationship with her body and food through creating and sharing her recipes. Volz’s globally inspired recipes do not compromise on flavor and are designed to help others find their version of healthy eating.

Two recipes to try:

Spicy Fish Tacos with Mango Guacamole

The heat of the tacos is perfectly balanced against the sweetness of the mango guacamole. Tacos are such wonderfully simple meals that are perfect for a summer evening paired with your favorite margarita.

Fudgy Flourless Almond Butter Brownies

These brownies are fudgy, simple, and both dairy and gluten-free. They taste wonderful fresh from the oven or cold from the fridge. Both kids and adults will love these brownies! This chocolate dessert also pairs well with an after-dinner tequila espresso martini.

Teri TurnerNo Crumbs Left

Teri Turner sees food as a “love language,” and she wants to help others learn the language and feel inspired by cooking. Turner likes to help her readers learn to trust their instincts with cooking and not fear failure. Many of her recipes are dairy, grain, and gluten-free.

Two recipes to try are:

Vegan Cobb Salad

Turner packed the salad with so much good stuff! Between the avocados, mushroom bacon, and vegan smoky red pepper saucy, it is so tasty and filling. The creamy, dairy-free dressing with its smoky background is perfect to sip with your favorite tequila.

Chicken Taco Salad with Sizzling Pollo Picante and Coconut Lime Vinaigrette

Yes, another salad, but I couldn’t resist how tasty the spicy chicken paired with the coconut lime vinaigrette. A bed of romaine lettuce is the base of the salad, which includes avocados and jicama. Pair it with a slightly sweet cocktail to counter the spice of the chicken, and you have a sumptuous evening meal for National Tequila Day!
