Our Process

Handcrafting Inspiro Tequila is a meticulous process that is never rushed, always thoughtful. From precisely cutting the agave to luna resting our blanco in oak barrels, we know that the extra time we take will reveal itself sip after silky sip of Inspiro Tequila.

1

STEP ONE HARVESTING

Our master distiller carefully hand selects only the Blue Weber Agave plants that meet her exact requirements in terms of sugar content and maturity. The agave is then cut to her particular specifications to unleash the maximum potential of the plant.

2

STEP TWO COOKING

The agave piñas or bulbs are cooked in stainless steel autoclaves to bring forth their fermentable sugars. We cook the piñas over a long period, never rushing, to extract the most sugar possible.
3

STEP THREE MILLING

After the piñas are cooked, we patiently cool them to control acidity levels before milling. Once cooled, the pinas are crushed and shredded to extract the sweet juice, called mosto, inside.
4

STEP FOUR FERMENTATION

The mosto must ferment into ethyl alcohol to become a spirit, but first, it is combined with yeast and water in large fermentation tanks. We add two specialized yeasts in separate tanks and then blend the juices to create Inspiro’s unique, fruity taste profile.
5

STEP FIVE DISTILLATION

The agave juices are distilled twice in alembic stills to purify the liquid and concentrate the alcohol. We only keep the best part of the juice, cutting the heads and tails. The juice is then stabilized for a minimum of 30 days to create a well-blended tequila.
6

STEP SIX RESTING

Inspiro Luna Blanco Tequila is rested for a lunar quarter in American oak barrels to make it incredibly smooth and bring out the tequila’s sweeter vanilla and caramel flavors and aromas. Our tequila is confirmed additive-free, meaning we add no color, preservatives or flavors. Inspiro offers a distinctive, silky profile derived completely from its customized process.
